"I come from proud a family that has been dedicated to the city for generations, working and striving to support Pueblo. I hope to sit on the council because I have seen the problems Pueblo faces and I want to be part of the solution. We need to support our working families, improve our neighborhoods, and make Pueblo a desirable place to live."
Key Positions
Labor and Solidarity

As a working electrician with a long family legacy of labor both in and outside of CF&I, I take very seriously the value of workers having strong unions to support and protect them.  Our town has always been built and operated by the working men and women of our community, those tough as nails people fighting every day to get by.

I am a member of the IBEW Local 12 electricians union and if elected I will do all in my power to bring jobs to our town while keeping and improving the ones that we have.  Labor is critical to a functioning economy and it is critical that laborers get their due.  For too long politicians have tried to diminish the power of labor unions and I will aim to reverse this process, facilitating growth in our trades by allowing for the creation of more training programs in our schools.  With greater labor availability workers will have more bargaining power for greater benefits and higher pay, and everyone will benefit.

Urban Renewal & Preservation

Pueblo is a special town, one we are lucky to live in.  But there is no shortage of vacant and run down properties.  If elected I will seek to expand existing programs and departments dedicated to city cleanup, incite fees for absentee ownership, and improve recycling programs with the city to make it more accessible in order to reduce illegal dumping.  By doing this we will return Pueblo to its former beauty and make it a better place for all.

Homelessness and Crime

For too long our town has seen a decline in quality and standards.  In the recent years there has been an increase in vagrancy and petty crime through town.  Homelessness, wreckless driving, and theft have been on the rise and need to be reduced.

It is my hope that by increasing employment with work programs for the underprivelaged, boosting police budgeting and mental health availability, and raising property values, we can hope to address the ills which create poverty and crime at their sources, not their symptoms.  In this way we can end the self-fulfilling cycle that keeps people down and help them to elevate themselves with productivity and compassion.

Honest, Progressive Values

As a youth of the early 21st century, I have witnessed my share of turmoil unfamiliar to the politicians of the past.  The past few decades have transformed today's youth and young adults in mighty ways, and I feel lucky to count myself among those rising people of influence getting ready to take on the future.

Technology, culture, economics, and the environment are changing rapidly all around us, and it is time for a new generation of leaders to step up to the occasion and prepare ourselves for the challenges of tomorrow.  Steadying government is never easy, but for those of us who are willing it is crucial to learn how to try.

If you choose to elect me, I will approach my duties with responsibility, fairness, generosity, and fortitude.  With times so uncertain, we need to all show bravery and work together to stand up for the values guaranteed us all by our country.

Only by standing together and elevating the most dedicated leaders can we hope to achieve all we have the potential for.
